and
when
rereading
some texts drafted
up to two decades ago
there are still sometimes
almost a recognition
of that self
i let
go
and
I revisit
past life stages
one, then another,
yet another
and
it remains
very laborious
and always painful
to revisit those islands
in the archipelago
of my life
and
I continue
to experiment
crossing internal borders
as a migrant, a refugee
always in asylum
and
it is as if
I were going
around a spiral of life
in which each gyre
almost touches
the other
and
the flash
in the pan
does not extinguishes itself
and
rereading
and rewriting
I reconfigure in short breaths
not only my present self
but the reviewed
too
and
the flash in the pan
the gyre of the spiral
the turn between stages
the island of the archipelago
all allow me to revere
my changed selves
with whom today
I would have
in common
so little
