103_#24 Can the subaltern speak?

Spivak asked, around 40 years ago:

- Can the subaltern speak?

She answered, in so many and so much convoluted ways.

According to my first contra-hegemonic interpretation, made around 2005, by my

  • post-modernist,
  • disagreeable,
  • [or how was recognized by a peer:
    • prepotent,
    • arrogant and
    • narcisist],
  • not so subaltern being
    • (brazilian;
    • white;
    • low middle class;
    • cis-man), :

Spivak 1984: Can the subaltern speak?

vanres2002:

"Yes, they can speak.

Although they will not be listened".

Then 11 years and 2 turns of the spiral of life later, around 2016, thinking to know more about human nature, my romantic and revolutionary self would dare to say:

Spivak 1984: Can the subaltern speak?

Vanres2016

Yes, They can!

And  They Should!

Or, actually, They Must Speak!

This was my greatest moment in life. Who I consider, today, to had been the best of myself, actually:

confident, but not arrogant;

reassuring, not prepotent;

poorer, but purer of heart and mind!

Although, "everything that is solid, vanishes in the air".

And the interpretation will change again, in the first half of 2024, 19 years, and 3 turns of the spiral of life thrown to the wind, since the first reading in 2005.

Now, doubting the "knowledge" of what is the best and the worst in human culture and social relations, my neoclassic self does run away from locus horrendus in search of a locus amoenus

In this new turn of the spiral of life, i would not dare to say, publicly, around so many un-peers, my informed opinions about facts:

Spivak 1984: Can the subaltern speak?

@vanres2023: "i would preferr not to".

I would not say

what i consider

to have known and have studied

for around 18 years

about this so polemical

post-truth subject!

After all,

who will understand,

What i would like

They to understand?

or

They will understand:

What They could

or worst

What They want to!

and not:

What i would consider

They should!

or even

They Must!

So, my not so subaltern subject would ask myself

@vanres: Can i speak?

@vanres2023: "Yes, i can!

Although,

i would preferr

not to."

(des-)inspirational quotes"

Yeats:

The best lack all convictions

while the worst are full of passionate intensity

Lampedusa:

Everything changes,

so to remain the same;

Marx:

Everything that is solid,

vanishes in the air;

Bauman:

 There is not indivudual solutiona,

to sistemic problems!

Spivak:

Can The Subaltern Speak?
